Every Family Makes a Difference
TGISC is powered by volunteers! Every season, our families help create a fun, welcoming and memorable skating experience for all members.
From weekly skating sessions to competitions and special events, there are many ways to get involved. Thank you for sharing your time and supporting our skating community.
Who Is Required to Volunteer?
The mandatory family volunteer commitment applies to StarSkate families only. Families enrolled in CanSkate, PreCanSkate and Intro to Figure Skating are not required to complete volunteer credits.
All families are welcome to volunteer and support our skating community!

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
CanSkate Greeters
Welcome skaters and families, assist with check-in, help new members find their way and answer general questions.
Commitment: 16 shifts for 400 credits, or 8 shifts for 200 credits.
Music Players
Play music during StarSkate sessions. Training and support are provided, and basic tablet or device skills are all you need.
Commitment: 16 shifts for 400 credits, or 8 shifts for 200 credits.
Program Assistants (PAs)
Eligible skaters can assist coaches with warm-ups, group activities, skater support and on-ice safety.
